On October 19th, student government associations (SGAs) from various universities gathered at Molloy University for an enriching leadership workshop aimed at enhancing leadership skills and fostering collaboration among student leaders. Among the standout presentations was The Art of Visionary Leadership: Empowering Your Organizations delivered by New York Tech’s own T’ron Strapp and Pranaav Venkatasubramanian.

The NYIT presenters captivated the audience by breaking down the essence of visionary leadership and its pivotal role in driving student organizations toward success. Their presentation emphasized the power of having a clear vision and how it serves as a guiding force in achieving organizational goals. They discussed how visionary leaders inspire their teams by building trust and credibility, underscoring the importance of good communication as a cornerstone of effective leadership.

Another key theme of the session was empowerment. The presenters shared practical strategies for empowering team members, from setting achievable goals and milestones to celebrating successes, both big and small. They highlighted how recognizing contributions and creating a culture of appreciation fosters motivation and unity within an organization.

NYIT’s participation in this event not only showcased the strength of its SGA leadership but also contributed to the broader mission of fostering effective student governance across institutions.

Kudos to T’ron Strapp and Pranaav Venkatasubramanian for representing NYIT and inspiring future student leaders with their knowledge and passion.
